NATIONWIDE RELOCATING EMPLOYEE SURVEY

The 2005 Nationwide Relocating Employee Survey (copyright symbol) was conducted throughout the first half of 2004. The goal of the survey is to objectively evaluate customer satisfaction levels with varied relocation service suppliers. This was the tenth annual nationwide, multi-company survey.

Corporate executives and managers from corporations and government agencies were contacted and invited to participate in this survey. Each participating manager submitted names and either telephone numbers or email addresses of randomly selected, recently transferred employees.

Surveying for the Nationwide Relocating Employee Survey (copyright) began in January, 2004. Employees, all relocated in 2004 or early 2005, were contacted via telephone or email. A standard set of questions was asked of each respondent regarding satisfaction with the suppliers used in the transfer. The employee evaluated his or her overall satisfaction using a ten-point scale - 10 was the highest score of service satisfaction, and 1 was the lowest score - to the following question: "Evaluated your overall level of service satisfaction with this supplier's performance?"

A copy of a generic telephone survey follows this page. Many companies requested additional questions asked of their employees. The responses to those company-specific questions are not included in this report.

The survey ended June 30, 2005, and valid data was collected from 3772 employees representing 88 organizations.
